As the spring season arrives we have found life at our hotel incredibly busy for several reasons.
Those who have looked at our image gallery or have recently stayed at the hotel will notice that there are lots of changes happening at present, we are approximately 60% of the way through up grading all of the guest bedrooms, each room has its own identity with beds, room furniture and soft furnishings that we like to think due the hotel justice, it seems our guests also agree with the feedback we have been receiving and the online reviews we have been getting from guests staying at the hotel.
While the builders have been making steady progress with creating an impressive new look for our rooms we have also been busy creating a new bistro menu, why not join our Facebook or Twitter pages to view images of some of the new dishes we are currently serving, or better still come in to sample some of our new dishes!
As the Gloucestershire Skittles league comes to an end for one season we are still welcoming groups of friends and families to take advantage of the skittles alley, its free to use and is great fun, if you are looking for a venue to provide training we can combine a quick intro to skittles during your lunch break, how many other meeting venues can you think of that give you the opportunity to enjoy a game of skittles at lunch time?
Tuesday mornings between 9:30-11:30 in our function room is now filled with a local amateur choir which has been recently assembled and proving to be popular with the group rapidly growing, we had around twenty people taking part this morning and they are sounding good.
This Friday sees the return of our Blues night which is held on the last Friday of each month, this month we welcome the Bad Dads who deliver good blues and style in equal measure, an enjoyable four piece band who are working the local scene very well at the moment, feel free to come along and have a listen.
Staying in tune with blues music we ‘re excited to have been asked to become one of several venues in the town for our first annual Blues Music festival in Wotton-under-Edge in September, further details for the festival will be released as the full line up of venues and bands are confirmed.
Hopefully in our next monthly blog we will be able to provide more details of a new exciting venture coming to the hotel, for anyone who enjoys a glass of wine this will be news that will certainly be of interest!
If you’re feeling hungry, thirsty, fancy some live music, or even want to purchase a newspaper (yes we sell newspapers) then come in and say hello and enjoy a relaxing time in pleasant surroundings full of character at the Swan Hotel.
